At a Glance – ETFE at Clarke Quay, Singapore
10,099 m²
of ETFE
Clarke Quay, a vibrant riverside lifestyle district, received an ETFE canopy upgrade in its 2024 rejuvenation to enhance visitor comfort and aesthetic appeal. The translucent ETFE roof covers approximately 10,099 m² above walkways and food zones, turning once-heated public areas into shaded, relaxed environments without compromising airflow.
Clever Design for Cooler Streets

The canopies cover pedestrian and dining areas at Clarke Quay.
The canopy combines 243 double-layer ETFE cushions with 124 single-layer panels, designed to balance light, shading, and transparency.
Custom print patterns and improved ETFE durability help reduce heat while maintaining brightness, perfect for cooling the ground surface in a tropical setting.
This upgrade brings back inviting outdoor experiences under a protective yet luminous roof.
