ETFE Canopy for Weather-Protected Retail Space
The canopy uses a two-layer ETFE cushion system designed to provide shading and weather protection while still allowing natural daylight to pass through. This approach ensures the space below remains comfortable and usable throughout the day, even in intense sunlight and heavy rainfall typical of the region.
The lightweight nature of ETFE allowed the canopy to be supported by a minimal steel structure, reducing structural loads while maintaining a clean architectural appearance. The solution balances functional protection with a bright and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
