A Canopy with Character
Under Construction: Translucent ETFE canopy in Cambodia
The freeform canopy spans about 500 m² and is made up of seven inflated ETFE cushions in a two-layer system. Its gentle twist creates a welcoming gesture at the entrance, while the cushions allow daylight to filter through, keeping the space bright and comfortable for visitors.

Engineering for Precision
Every cushion was tailored to fit the canopy’s unique form. The supporting structure uses slim, arched steel beams, carefully shaped to carry the lightweight ETFE system while preserving an open, elegant appearance. The result is a canopy that looks refined and performs reliably in Cambodia’s tropical climate.
Smart Design for Climate Comfort
The upper ETFE layer includes a silver print that reflects part of the sun’s heat while still transmitting light. This treatment reduces glare and solar gain, making the entrance cooler and more pleasant without compromising transparency.
